Like you might have heard me tell before, my great grandfather made many sketches. Some of them he turned into charcoal or water colour paintings, a few live on in oils, but most just lived on as just that: sketches. I thought that this particular sketch was just that, a sketch. But halfway through 2023 I suddenly received a bigger charcoal drawing of this sketch that he must have made at some point!
Can you feel the soft, silty breeze? And hear the waves and sea guls? There are two people walking side by side over the beach. Life is good. Enjoy!
