Description of the painting

Psalm 68:4-10, 13b. The desert of Paran is dry and dead, but it receives new strength through God’s presence. The first image was a path through the dead landscape leading to an bright place in the sky. I carefully put this image on canvas in watercolor pencil on 29 January. The second painting has become different because it met other inspiration and influences on February 5 during a worship evening with Betuwe in Bloei. Verse 14b described the Holy Spirit as a dove. It now stands guard in the brightest place in the sky and oversees everything that happens. A landscape that comes to life on one side of the river under the influence of God’s presence. The greater its influence, the greener and more exuberant it becomes.
