Description of the painting
The wedding text of my parents talked about the birds of the field. Inspired by that I’ve started a series of bird paintings. At home there are a lot of sparrows. So they needed to be included. “….They sow not, neither do they reap,….our Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they?” (Matt. 6:26). I live in a home with a beatiful, big hedge. The sparrows fly to and from. It is a sight to behold! They make good use of the chickenfeed and find insects between the vegetables, herbs and flowers we grow. They live the good life. They can therefore be seen here on the edge of a lush meadow. Would they be on the same barbed wire where you could see a bee-eater before?
